Again, the same thing about promises of peace that harm defense
I'm going to say my subjective opinion, but I'm getting a little tired of this: "There will be a ceasefire in 2-3 weeks!", "Oh, it's broken.", "We are on the way to agreeing on a cessation of hostilities!", "Oh, Putin doesn't want a cessation, how unexpected!".
And here it is again.
In the Donbas, the group that was being prepared for winter assault operations was being tested at training grounds and unmanned units were being developed. There are convoys with armored vehicles accumulated over the summer (because in summer you can walk somewhere, but in winter you still need transportation).
Putin gathered these 700,000, including several hundred thousand assault troops, paying them 30-40 thousand dollars each, clearly not to let them go home. Until the assault component is ground into mincemeat, until it becomes incapacitated (and this is 100-200 thousand types), there will be no truce, only a grandiose ploy to Trump, which will provide him with his favorite crash again.
But these promises, these emotional swings, which have a more political context than actions close to reality, distort the population's understanding of reality.
Why donate if there will be a truce tomorrow? Why change your life, linking the next few months with the army, if it will soon be over?
And then everyone is surprised that society is less united, mobilization is difficult, and volunteer collections are falling. And this is in the most difficult period for the Armed Forces, when we are entering the winter during the enemy's active assault, when everyone needs to come together and repel this invasion, and the prospects for a truce depend on the effectiveness of this .
It's the fourth year of the war, and the army has long since given up on all these promises, because they are facing a completely different reality. And civilians are being fed the hope that the war will end soon.
Somehow it's all getting old.
The war will end soon, yes. But you better buy some eco-flow and generators. And I went on to raise money to modernize the FPV.
