Six months without gas transit through Ukraine: myths debunked, Russia loses billions

Let's analyze what we were promised and what we actually have:
1 Myth: Russia will destroy our gas transportation system. The Russians have been attacking our underground gas storage facilities (UGS) and production facilities since the transit was in progress. Stopping transit did not intensify the attacks – the GTS is working steadily.
2 Myth: Without transit, there will not be enough pressure in the GTS, and cities will be left without gas. I have explained a thousand times: the pressure in our GTS is created by our own compressors. Transit has been going on in isolation to the EU for years. The result? Gas supply in Ukraine is uninterrupted.
3 Myth: Gas prices for households and industry will rise sharply. Prices for households remained stable at UAH 7.96. The increase in tariffs for the services of the GTS Operator was responsible for only 5% of the gas price for industry.
4 Myth: Slovakia will stop the transit of electricity and goods. There have been no restrictions from Slovakia. The transit of electricity and other goods continues.
5 Myth: Gas prices in Europe will soar. Prices in Europe have remained stable. Temporary fluctuations were caused by other factors: frost, insufficient wind generation, growing demand in Asia, the crisis in the Persian Gulf, etc., but not by the termination of transit.
The result? Russia has lost $6 billion in annual transit revenue. "Gazprom, a key donor to the Russian budget, is already asking for government support.
Here's what's happening:
- Rising gas prices for the Russian population.
- Planned price increases for industry twice a year.
- Gazprom does not pay dividends to the state.
- The Russian government plans to reduce the tax burden on Gazprom, which will further reduce budget revenues.
This proves: Ukraine has real leverage over the Russian economy.
Stopping gas transit is just one of them. Russian oil is next in line. Oil transit through Ukraine still brings Russia $6 billion annually. Our Defense Forces are targeting oil export terminals in Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk. By increasing pressure on these facilities, we can further undermine the aggressor's export revenues.
Europe and the United States will not do all the work for us. Ukraine must use its own capabilities to weaken Russia economically. Every dollar lost for Russia is a step towards our victory.
