Trump's pendulum: why it is worth watching not the words but the actions of the US president

In the second half of March, when Ukraine was horrified by Trump's sudden love for Putin, I wrote two texts for the League. The first was about whether this couple would be able to destroy the world order, and the second looked at the nature of their relationship.
I insisted, despite the general alarmist sentiment, that Trump and Putin were not allies but situational partners. For different reasons, but they equally sought to reconsider the place of their countries in the global order, and that is why their actions seemed to be synchronized. However, even then it was clear to me that this was a temporary phenomenon. Just as two lamb's heads do not fit into one pot, so two leaders cannot divide the Earth.
The entire recent history of Russian-American relations resembles a pendulum - from unconditional love at the beginning to uncompromising hostility at the end (only Biden started with confrontation). The only question was when exactly this turning point would come. In the worst case scenario, it could have taken two years, and during that time, Putin would have caused irreparable damage to Ukraine. However, it appears that the "honeymoon" of the two presidents is over .
Although Trump's pendulum will probably not stop swinging, the amplitude has now seriously shifted in the Ukrainian direction.
