Born in 1968 in Odessa. Graduated from Kazan State University with a Master's degree in Social and Political Sciences. He was an active participant in the Rose Revolution in Georgia. He worked in non-governmental and commercial sectors, as well as in the executive branch. He was Vice Mayor of Batumi in 2004-2005. He is a political scientist at the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC) and the author and host of the YouTube channel "Caucasus News".
